Owned and operated by the Moretti family, YROC’s roots go back to the west coast when restaurateur Bryce Moretti opened his first seaside sports bar in Oceanside, California. In 2019, the Moretti’s relocated to Virginia, purchasing York River Oyster Company, a storied location formerly known as River’s Inn and other restaurants dating back to the early 1960s. Over the next few years YROC Coastal Bar & Grill was born, now recognized throughout Virginia and voted “Best Restaurant” in Coastal Virginia in 2024, 2025 and 2026. Today, YROC Coastal Bar & Grill blends local and coastal favorites with a flare. Our seasonally rotating menu, legendary hand-pressed crushes and unique craft cocktails have made us an east coast staple.

Do you take reservations?
We do not take reservations and are first-come, first-served.
For large parties over 20, please contact us.
What are your hours?
Sunday through Thursday we’re open 11am-9 pm. On the weekend, Friday and Saturday, we’re open 11am-11 pm. We’re also open on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. We also offer Sunday Brunch seasonally. Check our social media handles for updates on hours and special events.
What is the parking situation?
Except for certain special events, all parking is self parking in the York River Yacht Haven marina parking lot. Please avoid parking in spots marked for slip holders. If the main lot is full, there is ample overflow parking available in the boat yard at the marina entrance. For maps and other information about the marina, visit the York River Yacht Haven website.
Can I come to YROC by boat?
Yes! We are located in the York River Yacht Haven, a full-service destination marina at the mouth of Sarah Creek, just off the York River, at N 37° 15.394′, W 076° 28.765′. For vessels under 50′, first-come-first-serve docking is available on the marina’s A-dock. For larger vessels, please make arrangements with the marina. The dockmaster can be reached by phone at 804-642-2156, option 1. They also monitor VHF channels 16 and 9. For more information on the marina, visit yorkriveryachthaven.com.

Is outdoor seating open year-round?
Outdoor waterfront seating is available year-round and heated during winter months.
Can I host an event at YROC?
Our private Dockside Banquet room above the original main dining area is perfect for smaller gatherings of 20-60 guests. Catering is available. For the latest on rates and reservation information, please visit our Bookings page.
Do you have merchandise?
Yes! We offer a variety of hats, t-shirts and sweatshirts. Ask your bartender or server for sizes and colors. Stay tuned for online merchandise ordering coming soon!
Are pets allowed?
Dogs are welcome on our dockside deck and perch bar. We ask that you please keep them on a leash at all times and do not bring your dog into the main dining room.
